I’m experimenting with turning my hand-painted watercolors into an immersive art concept. From sketchbook to digital animation, I’m exploring how traditional artwork can come alive in motion and sound.
See how my daily sketchbook practice sparked new inspiration! In this post, I’m sharing how two watercolor pieces—Whimsical Garden and Indian Pink Palace—grew from loose sketchbook explorations into fully realized finished artworks.
Rouen 19 is the first piece in my new Travel Escapes series — a mixed media collage inspired by a 2019 trip to Rouen, France. By layering black-and-white travel photos with hand-painted papers, textures, and vibrant inks, I transformed a cherished memory into a richly textured visual story. In this post, I share the process behind creating the piece and the inspiration that fueled it.
I transformed my Los Angeles travel memories into a mixed media collage journal, layering photos, acrylic paint, and hand-painted papers to create a personal keepsake. This project allowed me to experiment with creative play while capturing the essence of my trip. Here’s a peek at what I created and how it’s evolving.
One of the most fulfilling parts of my creative journey is making time for creative play. This month, I found inspiration on my shelf: an old, unused notebook I nearly tossed. Instead, I decided to give its pages new life through paint, mark-making, and joyful experimentation.
Art for the Soul, produced by Divine NY Productions, is a newly launched art-focused web series on YouTube — a creative sanctuary where art meets healing. ✨
The first episode, Mindful Art: Simple Watercolor Mark-Making, is now live!
I first discovered Kyoto Color Soft Pastels when a friend gifted me a set for my birthday. I had never worked with pastels before, so I was curious to see how they could fit into my art practice. I use these pastels in two main ways: As a flat background color and as a base layer or underpainting for watercolor designs. Read this post to learn more about my favorite techniques!
There are two ways that I love drawing and painting botanical art. First is line art infused with watercolor. And the second way is direct painting over a quick pencil sketch. I love this project, because I’ve created my very own collection of botanical art note cards.
Travel has always been a source of inspiration for my art and illustrations, and I couldn't think of a better way to kick off 2025 than with a two-week journey through India. This trip took me to four vibrant cities and one union territory—Bangalore, Chennai, Mumbai, Kochi, and the beautiful Lakshadweep islands.
In January, I had the pleasure of teaching a silk scarf painting workshop for designers and guests at Steelcase, as well as an abstract acrylic painting workshop for members of Felicity House. Both workshops provided creative expression and community-building experiences, and I’m excited to share how art can bring people together in meaningful ways.
I’m excited to announce that four of my original artworks will be featured in the Affordable Art Show in Jersey City! Join me for the opening reception on December 6, 2024, and explore over 400 affordable artworks perfect for holiday gifting.
