Exploring Immersive Art: From Watercolor to Digital Concept
Lately, I’ve been experimenting with a new creative direction: taking my original hand-painted watercolor artwork and reimagining it as an immersive art experience. This is a completely new area for me, and while it’s still early and rough, I’m excited to share my first concept and the process behind it.
From Sketchbook to Digital Canvas
Like many of my projects, this idea started in my sketchbook. I drew inspiration from the playful, whimsical shapes and motifs I love in my daily practice. From there, I recreated the artwork digitally in Procreate, keeping each element on its own layer so I could experiment freely.
Bringing Movement to My Art
Once I had a digital version, I imported the file into After Effects. I experimented with basic rotation, opacity, and scale animation effects—just to see how my static watercolor pieces could come alive in motion. This step was all about exploration and testing ideas without worrying about perfection.
Next, I brought the animated elements into Premiere Pro, added music, and began shaping the concept into a short immersive video. The result is a rough but exciting glimpse into how my artwork could evolve into an immersive experience.
What’s Next
There’s still a lot to do before this could become a fully realized immersive art installation, but this early exploration is an important first step. I’m excited to continue experimenting with animation, sound, and interactivity as I learn how to bring watercolor to life in a multi-sensory way.

Why I’m Exploring Immersive Art
For me, this project is a blend of art and technology. It’s a way to reimagine traditional painting in a digital, interactive space. Beyond personal growth, it’s an opportunity to think about how audiences might engage with art in new ways—moving from observation to experience.
This is just the beginning, and I’m excited to keep sharing updates as the concept evolves. Stay tuned!
