Delivering Joy: Custom Art for a Friend in Boston

This past weekend, I had the pleasure of hand-delivering a custom mixed media collage art piece to my friend in Boston. Seeing her excitement and how beautifully the piece fits into her home was incredibly rewarding!

The Joy of Creating Custom Art

Creating custom art pieces for clients is one of my favorite aspects of being an artist. Even though these pieces are inspired by existing works in my portfolio, each one is a unique creation.

The Creative Process

The excitement begins with the first coat of white gesso on a blank canvas, followed by modeling paste to add background texture. After toning the canvas with acrylic paint, I draw flowers and leaves on tracing paper and deli paper using graphite, markers, paint pens, and gel pens. I also incorporate watercolor-painted flowers into the bouquet.

For the vase, I use hand-painted papers created with my gelli plate. Once I have all the elements, I experiment with their placement before securing each piece with a heavy matte or gloss gel. A top coat of soft gel gloss and a final varnish protect the piece against fading and peeling.

Timeless Custom Art

Each piece takes approximately two days to complete. What's special about my custom art service is that clients can choose colors that match their decor, making each piece uniquely theirs.

Order Your Custom Piece
