Silk Painting Workshop: Create Your Own One-of-a-Kind Scarf

In this 2.5-hour workshop, you'll learn the art of painting on silk using high-quality silk paints, metallic outliners, and silk salt to craft your own unique scarf. Whether you're a beginner or seasoned artist, this workshop offers a fun and creative way to explore textile art. No prior experience is required—just bring your creativity and an open mind!

Here’s What You’ll Do:

• Trace your motif design on both ends of the scarf using pencil and metallic gold outliner
• Apply specialty textile paints to bring your design to life
• Add silk salt for texture and visual interest
• Allow the piece to dry, then iron and finish!

Design Inspiration:

While design ideas will be provided, you’re welcome to bring your own creative concepts to the workshop! 

Important Tip:

After the workshop, let your scarf dry fully (allow 24 hours). The next day, the final step (which you'll do at home) will be to iron your scarf.  The heat of the iron is what bonds the paint to the fabric and makes the colors permanent.
