Textile Arts Center With Care Exhibition and Auction
Small artworks by 60 artists (including one of my pieces!) have been selected to participate in the Textile Arts Center With Care Exhibition and Auction.
With Care, is an open call fundraiser exhibition co-curated by Artist Programs Manager, Francisco echo Eraso and TAC AIR 12 Alumni, Jeanne F. Jalandoni.
The artwork is on view at the Textile Arts Center until December 5th (in Brooklyn) and open for online bidding.
All proceeds from the sales support the TAC AIR Scholarship fund, awarding one emerging textile artist who demonstrates commitment to their art practice, identifies with a historically underrepresented community in the arts and states the need for financial assistance to participate in the program and advance their artistic practice.
Here’s the artwork that I donated. It’s called Patchwork, painted on canvas with acrylic. The inspiration behind this piece is a patchwork quilt.
In case you can’t make it to the Textile Arts Center in Brooklyn to see the exhibition live, take a peek at some photos of the gallery display!
Textile Arts Center is located at 505 Carroll Street, Brooklyn, NY 11215
