Project Summary

Created three custom surface pattern designs inspired by vintage aesthetics for Hazel Home Co.'s private label collection. Each design was developed in cohesive colorways that balanced timeless vintage influences with the brand's established visual identity.

My Process

I began by collaborating with the founder to understand the vision, aesthetic direction, and inspiration behind the Hazel Home Co. brand. From there, I researched vintage design styles and developed a mood board to establish the creative direction.

I explored initial ideas through pencil sketches in my sketchbook before creating hand-painted watercolor pattern concepts. After presenting the concepts and incorporating client feedback, I recreated the approved artwork digitally in Procreate, preserving the hand-painted character while preparing it for production.

The final stage involved building seamless repeating pattern tiles in Photoshop, refining the artwork, and preparing production-ready digital files for professional printing.
