Patterns

Creating a pattern is like a jigsaw puzzle...you have to find the perfect spot for each motif in order for it to fit properly!

My design process starts with a physical illustration. Once I have a variety of motifs sketched, I come up with a pattern concept and color palette.  I scan my artwork and then continue to create digitally using my iPad and a variety of other tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, Fresco, Procreate).

Whimsical . Colorful . Eclectic
