#The100DayProject: Perspective Drawing

The #The100DayProject kicks off on Sunday, February 18, 2024.  This will be my third year participating.

If you are new to the #The100DayProject and wondering what this is, let me explain! 

This is a free global art project that takes place online. Every year, thousands of people from around the world commit to 100 days of creating.  Anyone can participate! 

The idea is simple - pick a project and work on it every day for 100 days. You can commit as little as 15 minutes a day or more - the structure is up to you. The idea is that you dedicate time daily towards your craft.  The project you select can be anything - paint, draw, write, dance, read, code - pick something that you want to work on for 100 days.

My project for this year is: perspective drawing. This is something I have always struggled with, so my plan is to practice 15 minutes a day with the hopes of improving my drawing skills.

I know first hand that it can be difficult to commit to the full 100 days and there will likely be days that you’ll miss or may just stop at day 30 or 50 or 75. I’m here to tell you, that’s ok.  When I participated in the past, I don’t think I worked on my project every day and I don’t think I lasted the full 100 days. I think I may have stopped at around day 50 or 60.  But it was still a very valuable experience - I learned new techniques, new skills and it helped me to discover my own art style.
