About the Print:
This 8” x 10” is inspired by henna art. The original print was created by hand-carving the design on a linoleum block and printing it on paper using an oil based ink.
My Design Process:
My process begins by sketching the design on paper, then transferring it to a linoleum block. I then use a lino-cutter and x-acto knife to carve the intricacies of the design. I ink the linoleum block, print a few test prints followed by the final print on heavyweight paper producing an original hand printed design. The print is then digitally recreated using a variety of digital tools and printed on high quality paper.
