This artwork is inspired by a peacock feather and is a digital recreation of an original hand-printed linocut print on raw silk fabric.
Design Process:
The first step always begins with a sketch of the design concept or idea on paper. Next, the design is carved onto a linoleum block using carving tools like a lino-cutter and x-acto knife. Once the carved design is ready, the linoleum block is inked and a few test prints are produced before the final print is created on high-quality paper or printed on fabric. The print is then scanned and digitally recreated using a variety of digital tools.
