OUR DESIGN PROCESS:
We hand dye unbleached cotton muslin fabric in one yard batches. The fabric is pleated, folded and clamped before it is submerged in a dye bath where it soaks for one hour. Squeezing out the excess dye, the fabric is unfolded and laid flat to dry for 24 hours. After ironing the fabric, it is then rinsed in cool water until most of the excess dye washes out and the water runs clear. It is laid flat to dry again and then placed in the dryer for a final heat setting. The dyed fabric is then cut to size and sewn into napkin sets.
CARE:
Due to the hand dyeing process, upon first wash, it is normal for the excess dye to bleed. We recommend hand wash the first time and then machine wash and tumble dry thereafter.
