Throw pillows are my favorite decorating accessory. By using the right fabrics, colors and prints, you can create a luxurious feel to a boring old sofa. Interesting prints also add personality to a room and the right colors will give your home a seasonal and sensational makeover.

Follow these design tips when decorating with pillows and remember – use your imagination with colors, prints, fabric and have fun!
- Mix up pillow shapes to create a layered look and add depth. Square pillows that are 18” to 24” are large enough to show off the fabric details. Add a few oblong pillows and perhaps a circular pillow for an interesting touch.
- It’s ok to mix patterns, colors and graphics. This will add depth and tone. It doesn’t have to be perfectly matched, just aesthetically pleasing.
- Decorate with 3 or 5 pillows rather than the traditional pair; a few large pillows can look more appealing then a jumble of smaller ones.

I love pillows too. I have pillows everywhere. I mix them up – pattern, size, style, you name it. I love the punch of color they offer. Not to mention they’re cozy.
