Rekha is the creative designer and face behind the luxury lifestyle brand that is recognized for its striking color, textiles and prints. As a designer and color expert, Rekha helps her clients discover the ideal colors and accessories to bring their home, office or business space to life. Her designs are influenced by her love for bright, bold colors, abstract patterns and her desire to create something unique for each customer. She is fascinated by interesting textures that she sees in every day life, from store front windows to billboards in Times Square and even subway ads! Her Indian background plays a central role in the patterns and color palettes she uses as inspiration in her work. Growing up, Rekha embraced her heritage’s cultural festivities, and was in awe of the bright, colorful clothing, interesting patterns and unique color combinations worn by Indian women.
In addition to her passion for design, she has enjoyed a diversity of careers. After earning an M.B.A. degree, she worked in both finance and consulting while taking classes at Parsons, the New School of Design and Fashion Institute of Technology. Born and raised in Ottawa, Canada, Rekha has lived in a variety of cities, including San Francisco, San Antonio, Atlanta, and New York City. While each city influenced her in different ways, it is the vibrant flare of New York that fine tuned her design aesthetic, developed her signature style, and translated her passion into the business it is today. |
